DGP thanks corona warriors for their contribution in containing the Pandemic

Jammu: Director General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh, led the Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel in showing the solidarity with corona warriors across the nation in the lawns of Police headquarters here today.

Saluting COVID-19 warriors Senior Police officers of PHQ & APHQ, Police officers of Jammu district, Commandants of Jammu based Armed/IRP battalions, doctors from Police Hospital Jammu and Police personnel of PHQ and APHQ gathered in the lawns of PHQ to show their solidarity with the front line fighters against the Corona Virus while observing all social distancing norms and other protocols.

ADGsP Dr. B. Srinivas, A. K. Choudhary, Deepak Kumar, S. J. M. Gillani, Abdul Ghani Mir, IGsP Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, T. Namgyal, Mukesh Singh, Danesh Rana, Garib Dass, Alok Kumar, DIsG, SSsP and other Jammu based GOs participated in the solidarity Sammelan. The officers were holding different placards on different themes including the ones showing solidarity with the fellow Policemen, doctors, municipal workers and other Corona warriors.

Speaking on the occasion the DGP said that on behalf of J&K Police personnel, doctors & Para-medical staff of Police hospitals, ‘I thank and pay solidarity to lakhs of corona warriors of the country’. He said that J&K Police stands with all doctors, Police personnel, Para-medical staff, and all those who are providing essential services while risking their lives to save the people of nation and contain the threat of deadly virus.

The DGP said that it is unfortunate that at some places mischievous elements are violating the government orders, attacking the corona warriors and termed these as shameful acts. He said that the stern action will be taken against such violators and added that around 60 Police personnel were injured at different places while enforcing the lock down and implementing the orders and advisories of the government. He said that people should understand the magnitude of the threat posed by the worldwide disease. He said that it is the time when each one of us can contribute in the fight against the disease.

The DGP thanked J&K Police personnel, health workers and providers of essential services who are working tirelessly in the fight against the COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Samelans were held by all the district police and Armed/IRP police units of J&K Police at their respective locations.
