Srinagar: The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir reached 354 on Sunday as thirteen more people tested positive for the coronavirus in the Union territory, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, 12 are from the Kashmir division while one is from Jammu, the officials said.

Now, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the Jammu division is 55 and that in the Kashmir division stands at 299, they added.

Five COVID-19 patients have died in Jammu and Kashmir.

More than 60,000 people have been kept under surveillance including those who are either in government established quarantine facilities or under home isolation.

“Till date 61331 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance which include 5939 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 289 in Hospital Isolation, 264 in hospital Quarantine and 23868 under home surveillance. Besides, 30966 persons have completed their surveillance period so far,” the officials said.

Moreover 05 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged today from JLNM Hospital Srinagar.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Bandipora has 81 positive cases wherein 69 are Active Positive, 11 recovered and 01has died, Srinagar 79 positive cases with 56 Active Positive, 22 recovered and  01 died, Baramulla 43 positive cases with 41 Active Positive, and 02 died; Kupwara has 31 positive cases and all are active cases; Shopian has 22 positive with 20 Active Positive, 02 recovered; Ganderbal has 14 positive cases and all are Active Positive, Budgam 13 positive cases of which 06 are Active Positive with 07 recovered cases; Kulgam has 06 cases and all are Active Positive; Pulwama 03 positive cases with 02 Active Positive, 01 recovered; Anantnag district has 03 positive case and all are Active Positive.

Similarly, Jammu has 26 positive cases of whom 22 are Active Positive and 04 have recovered, Udhampur 20 positive cases of which 14 are Active Positive, 05 recovered and 01 died, while as Samba district has 04 positive cases and all are Active Positive; Rajouri has 04 positive cases, 01 active positive and 03 cases have recovered. Meanwhile, Kishtwar has only 01 positive case who has recovered.

Meanwhile, on Sunday late evening, four fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kashmir Division among which three are from Bandipora and one is from Baramulla.

The total number of cases has reached 354 in Jammu and Kashmir; 299 in Kashmir and 55 in Jammu.
