683 tests conducted so far in north Kashmir: GMC Baramulla

Baramulla: Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla, acting as COVID-19 center for north Kashmir, has conducted 683 tests so far in north Kashmir in which 469 tests were reported as negative, 42 positive, while as reports of 172 tests are awaited.

Medical Superintendent GMC Baramulla Associate Hospital Dr. Syed Masood said that large scale testing coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19) is believed to have played a role in mitigating the spread of the pandemic across globe so GMC is also increasing number of tests every day.

“We have conducted 683 tests in which 469 tests turned negative, 42 positive, while as reports of 172 tests are awaited,” he said.

Dr. Masood informed that 60 patients have been admitted to GMC quarantine facility and 22 patients have been put in Isolation ward.
