Srinagar: A fifty-year old resident of Dudran Boniyar died on Sunday after slipping from a hillock in Boniyar area of frontier Uri.
Sources said that the deceased had gone to nearby forests for collection of Guchi (Morchella). He slipped and rolled almost hundred meters down.
He was rushed to PHC Boniyar where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh, 50, son of Ghulam Qadir of Dudran Boniyar.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case under relevant sections of law.
