Anantnag: Unidentified militants Sunday evening shot at a retired Territorial Army man in Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district whose condition is stated to be very critical.

Police sources said that the suspected militants fired upon retired Army man identified as Abdul Hameed of Buchroo Kulgam in Redwani area of the district in the evening.

Hameed suffered serious bullet wounds and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

He was then rushed to Anantnag and is being treated at GMC, Anantnag where his condition is being reported very critical.

Soon after the attack, the security forces launched a hunt to nab the attackers, sources said.
