JAMMU: For early redressal of grievances of government teachers, Principal Secretary School Education Department Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today directed launching dedicated grievance redressal portals at directorate level.

Dr Samoon passed these directions to Directors of School Education of both divisions of Jammu & Kashmir in a meeting via videoconferencing here.

“I want all grievances of teachers redressed in a time bound manner. Now they can register their grievances anytime and they will get feedback of their grievances in a time-bound manner,” he said.

The meeting was attended by Chairman J&K BOSE, Director School Education Kashmir, Director School Education Jammu, Director Samagra Shiksha and other officials.

During the meeting, Director Samagra Shiska informed the meeting that 87% students have been provided dry ration and assured the meeting that cent percent students would be covered in coming days.

Dr Samoon asked the concerned officials to ensure Chief Education Officers submit cent percent coverage certificate of Mid-day meal schemes at the earliest.

Dr Samoon appreciated the initiative of Directors of School Education in ensuring e-classes through the lectures on television, You Tube and Whats app.

He took exception of the reports about the pending salaries of ReTs and directed the officers to release them at the earliest.

Principal Secretary also emphasized to expedite the process of promotions/DPCs at various levels pending in the department.
