Jammu, March 16: Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh today reviewed security scenario of Shopian and Anantnag the twin districts of South Kashmir.
He chaired meetings of jurisdictional officers during his visit to these districts. DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar and was received at Anantnag by DIG South Kashmir Atul Goel, SP Anantnag Sandeep Chaudhary and other officers of the district and in Shopian was received by SP Shopian Amritpal Singh, CO CRPF Vishal Khandiwal and other officers of the district.
While chairing the meeting of jurisdictional officers, DGP lauded the recent successful anti terrorist operations carried by the Police personnel along with other security forces. “With the coordinated efforts of Police and other security forces terrorist violence levels have come down relieving some pain of the masses who have been suffering due to ongoing violence,” he said.
