Srinagar: A pall of gloom descended in the Wadwan area of Budgam after a LPG cylinder blasted in the area resulting in the death of one person and injuries to 4 others.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that blast happened in the house of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat resident of Wadwan resulting in the death of one person and injuries to others in the blast.
Reports said body was charred beyond recognition in the incident and was later identified as Omar Malik son of Mohammad Sultan Malik resident of Wadwan, however there was no official confirmation regarding the identity of the person.
Reports said that the building was completely damaged in which Mushtaq Ahmad and his family members were injured.
Soon after the incident the nearby people assembled and evacuated the family members and took them to nearby hospital for treatment where the condition of the injured persons is said to be stable.
The locals of the area told KNS that it was huge blast.
A police officer also confirmed the incident in the area and said that one person has died in the incident and six other persons were injured. He added all the injured persons had been taken to JVC for treatment.
