Commissioner SMC reviews AMRUT works

SRINAGAR, MARCH 7: Commissioner SMC, Gazenfar Ali convened a meeting here today to review the progress on various projects under AMRUT.

He reviewed various works including Sewerage and Septage, Drainage sector, Rejuvenation of Brari Nambal, Urban Transport Sector, Green space sector, Water works Sector  during the meeting besides reviewing other issues.

The meeting was informed that out of six Storm water Drainage schemes, five have been completed in Lal Chowk, Indra Nagar, Malabagh, Gangbuk while dewatering station at NR Colony, Bemina and drainage scheme at Shalteng will be completed by September 2020.

Regarding STPs the meeting was informed that both STPs at Achen and Aluchibagh have been completed and are fully functional.

Commissioner directed the LAWDA to expedite second phase of Rejuvenation of Brari Nambal.

While reviewing the status of walkways the meeting was informed that walkways at Peerbagh, Tengpora, Rambagh and Shireen Bagh have been completed besides, an Idle parking in Pantha Chowk have also been completed.

Commissioner SMC directed all the concerned to expedite with the remaining works and ensure completion within stipulated time.

The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner (works), SE Drainage, ADP Planning, Executive Engineers, representatives for SDA, Floriculture, UEED and other concerned.
