Delegation of SMC Councillors calls on Lt Governor

Jammu, February 26: A delegation of Councillors of Srinagar Municipal Corporation today called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan and sought Lt Governor’s intervention in redressing their concerning issues.

The delegation comprising of SMC Councillors- Dr Ashok Koul and Bashir Ahmad apprised the Lt Governor of various issues pertaining to recruitment under Prime Minister’s Special Package for Kashmiri Migrants, protection of shrines and temples in Kashmir, regularization of Recovery Helpers, Orderlies, Drivers and Chowkidar of J&K State Co-operative Agriculture & Rural Development Bank Ltd., besides other issues of Kashmiri Pandit Migrants including removal of illegal encroachment & protection of their immovable properties etc.
