Srinagar: Peoples’ Conference (PC) today expressed serious concern over continued detention of political leaders, businessmen and students and demanded their immediate release which it says would be a first step towards normalcy.
“We are extremely concerned about the detention of senior mainstream political leaders, party workers, activists, businessmen and students for more than 200 days,” a statement issued by the party said.
“We urge the government to immediately release all political leaders, including PC Chairman Sajad Gani Lone, currently under house arrest since being moved from MLA hostel, as a first step towards resuming political activity and returning to full normalcy,” statement added.
