Sarmad inaugurates 7-day Programme at Jammu

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 18: Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Sarmad Hafeez, today inaugurated the 7-day 12th National level Tribal Youth Exchange Programme (TYEP), being held between 18th to 24th February 2020 at Youth Hostel Nagrota.

Director General, Youth Services and Sports, Saleem-ul-Rehman was also present on the occasion.

The programme is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu in which 220 participants and contingent leaders from different districts of Jharkhand and Odisha are participating.

On the occasion, Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Sarmad Hafeez said that such events provide an opportunity to the participants to interact and know each others’ culture and ethos. He also appreciated the activities of NYKS Jammu and Kashmir towards promoting sports culture in J&K.

State Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Jammu, Bikram Singh Gill in his address highlighted the details of the 7 day programme.

As part of the inaugural ceremony, cultural activities were performed by the participants of different districts of Jharkhand and Odisha.

Pertinently during the 7-day programme, different activities will be organized like visit to Wagha Border, Golden Temple Amritsar, tree plantation programme, cultural competition or Declamation contest, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat activities, language learning etc.
