SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 18: The Department of Agriculture Kashmir strongly refuted the news item published in print media regarding some of the misgiving attributed to the Department.
According to the statement issued by the Agriculture Department Kashmir that the department whole heartedly complies with the order of the Government as mentioned in the Government Order No.230 Agri of 2012 dated 28-08-2012 where under all the machinery including other inputs have to be purchased through J&K Agro Industries Corporation. However the farmer’s choice of farm machinery is a paramount importance, if any specific case is brought to the notice of officials of the Department of Agriculture, same will be addressed accordingly.
The statement also read that the bills and invoices of any unregistered, unauthorized and unrecognized dealer or firm is not being entertained and no unscrupulous person is allowed to play with the interest of farming community.
