Lackadaisical attitude of staff at SDH Tangmarg

Tangmarg, Feb 12: Due to the “lackadaisical attitude” of medical staff at Sub-district Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg, the overall functioning of the hospital has got severely impacted.

According to reports, taking cognizance of public complaints regarding “lackadaisical attitude” of medical staff at SDH Tangmarg, Tehsildar Tangmarg, Dr Nisar Rasool Wani conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital only to find the Out Patient Department (OPD) closed at 11 am.

On finding the staff absent from duty, Wani, in presence of attendants and patients, sealed the Biometric attendance machine and brought the matter into the notice of Chief Medical Office (CMO) Baramulla, reports said.

He also ordered the constitution of a team which would look into the matter related to “lackadaisical attitude” of the medical staff at SDH Tangmarg, reports added.

The patients and attendants at the hospital said that due to the routine absence of medical staff, the medical diagnosis like ECG and USG are done once in a week only.

They appealed the Lieutenant Governor Administration to look into the matter and ensure better medical care facility at SDH Tangmarg.
