JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12: Brig. (Retd.) Harcharn Singh, Director, Sainik Welfare today called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan.
The Director briefed the Lt Governor about the functioning of the organization and implementation of various schemes for promoting the welfare of all serving personnel and ex-Servicemen.
He also apprised him of various issues pertaining to enhancement of annuity for gallantry awards, early incentives to war widows from flag-day fund, reservation to ex-Servicemen in police recruitment, creation of Portal system for online collection for flag-day etc.
The Lt Governor assured the Director to address the grievances and problems faced by the serving and retired Defence Services Personnel, their families, widows and dependents.
