Advisor dedicates KC Sports Club complex to sports persons of J&K

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 11: Advisor to the Lt Governor Farooq Khan today formally inaugurated KC Sports Club Complex and dedicated it to the sports persons and sports lovers of Jammu & Kashmir.

Retired ADGP S.S Wazir, Chief Prosecuting Officer (former Ranji Player) Rajesh Gill, Chairman of KC Group (Raju Chowdhary Group) Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director of KC Sports Club Complex Arjun Chowdhary and Principal of KC Public School Amarendra Kumar Mishra were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering of students, Advisor Khan expressed pleasure on seeing the enthusiasm and excellence showcased by the upcoming sports stars of the country. Urging students to make sports a regular part of their day to day lives, he said that sports teach us valuable lessons of team spirit, punctuality, hard work besides keeping us physically and mentally fit.

He congratulated the sports club and school on producing young sportspersons like star gymnast Bavleen Kour and other gifted players who are making a mark in the national and international level sports contests.

He congratulated the club management for creating and offering sports persons and sports lovers of J&K a one stop health, fitness and sports facilities that meets international standards and is giving the youth of J&K an apt platform to convert their sporting dreams into concrete reality.

The Advisor also interacted with young sports persons practicing at the club. He interacted with J&K’s under 14 boys cricket team attending a 10 day sports camp at the sports club, having participating players from all across the UT.

Earlier, Advisor also greeted the budding cricketers of J&K receiving training at outdoor Cricket Oval at the Sports Club and watched them play a friendly cricket match.

The Advisor also felicitated young sports persons who have represented J&K at national and international levels in various sports and brought home laurels.
