Srinagar, Feb 09: Residents of various areas of Pulwama in south Kashmir on Sunday said that the most of the roads in the district area are in dilapidated conditions.

The residents of the Newa Pora Kakpora and adjoining  areas told KNS over phone that the 20 kilometres long road is dilapidated leaving thousands of people to suffer they said .

They said the road connects the area to the tourist destination Yousmarg, and famous shrine Pakherpora.

The residents of the area alleged that they have appealed the authorities several times for widening of the road macadam on these roads in the area but so far noting has been done.

Resident of Pahoo Qarimabad also said the main roads in the area are in shambles and most of them have not been repaired since decades by the authorities.

The residents also said that the work on half dozen bridges are yet to  complete as the work these bridges were started five years back but due to unknown reasons the work has been stopped after completion of 50% work.

They have appealed the authorities to repair the roads in the area at the earliest so that their problem will be redressed soon. (KNS)
