SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 08: Secretary, Horticulture Department, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, today convened a meeting here to review progress and achievements registered under various centrally sponsored schemes including Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and Prime Minister’s Development Programme (PMDP).
Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat and officers of Horticulture, Agriculture and Floriculture departments were present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary directed the concerned for proper utilization of released funds so that targets fixed for the year are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.
He stressed on organizing awareness programmes regarding various farmer-welfare schemes of the government and emphasized the need for timely intervention so that there is a significant impact of the horticulture department at ground level.
Earlier, Director Horticulture Kashmir presented a detailed report regarding the achievements and progress achieved under various schemes by the Department.
