Pulwama: Students of Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora (IUST) residing started leaving for their home on Sunday.
Mohammed Amin Bhat, controller examinations IUST said that the students were panicked due to prevailing situation and they were asked by their parents to come home.
“Around 400 students belonging from different areas of valley have left so far since Sunday morning” said Bhat.
“We didn’t ask any student to leave. Those who wished to leave were allowed. Around 100 students are still staying at the hostel among them few belong to Ladakh, Rajouri and foreign countries,” he added.
Meanwhile, the notification on the official website of IUST reads, “Exams scheduled from 5 Aug to 9 Aug have been postponed”.
