Srinagar: Senior separatist leader Shakeel Bakshi today survived an attack on his life at his Bemina residence.
Sources said that around 7.45 PM, two youth visited Bakshi’s house asking the family that they want to see him. As someone from the family went to first floor to call Bakshi, one of the two youth entered the room.
Sources said that when Bakshi was descending the stairs, the youth pulled out a pistol and fired at him indiscriminately and both fled he scene.
Miraculously no bullet hit Bakshi who however, was injured slightly due to falling from the stairs.
Sources said that police has cordoned the area to nab the attackers.
