Srinagar, Jul 30: Senior Congress leader from north Kashmir and former MLC Mohammad Muzaffar Paray today resigned from the basic membership of Congress.
In a communiqué, addressed to Sonia Gandhi, Patron All India Congress Committee, said he is quiting the party after 44 year long association.
He said that he is resigning because of “deviation and departure of its so called leaders from the basic philosophy of the party.”
