Dar told Kashmir Images that he had shared his suggestions on Back to Village program – an initiative by the J&K Government to address development needs in rural areas – with the Prime Minister on central government portal mygov.in.

“I was busy with my official work when the Prime Minister was talking about Back to Village program in ‘Man Ki Baat’ and mentioned my name during the programme,” said visibly joyous Dar.

“I feel very elated and to be honest it was a proud moment for me and I will remember it for my entire life,” he said, “I will keep sharing my suggestions on the development related programs in Kashmir.”

Dar is very appreciative of the Back to Village programme and suggested that the initiative must continue. “I requested Prime Minister Modi to continue with the program. It should be repeated after a gap of three months,” he said.

“The program will lay a strong base for development in our state, particularly in the backward and downtrodden areas,” added Dar.
