Inter-college Football Tourney: GDC Ganderbal beat GDC Anantnag by 3-1

Srinagar, July 29: After four days of break due to downpour, Inter-college football tourney resumed on Monday with Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal clinching victory against GDC Anantanag.

GDC Ganderbal started with bang and scored early minute goal courtesy sloppy defending by GDC Anantanag side. Sameer put ball in net and gave GDC Ganderbal lead.

Handball in penalty area cost GDC Anantanag one more goal. Sameer put penalty spot kick past goalie.

After break, GDC Anantanag tried to break defense of GDC Ganderbal and created some chances but failed to capitalize.

GDC Ganderbl came back roaring again as Sameer put  measured thorough ball for Tariq who scored a goal and gave his  team 3 goal lead.

GDC Anantanag scored a cancelation goal in last quarter of the match. With this win GDC Ganderbal progressed to round of sixteen.
