Srinagar, Jul 25: A 22-year-old truck conductor was killed in a road accident in Banihal area of Ramban district on Wednesday night.
Reports said that during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, a truck conductor came under the tyre of a truck.
The incident occurred when the said person was replacing the tyre of his vehicle. The incident led to the on-spot death of the helper identified as Fayaz Zaman, a resident of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Initial reports suggested that the incident occurred near Jaiswal Bridge when another speeding truck hit the stationery truck on which Zaman was working, it from the rear.
A case has been registered and investigation into the case has been initiated, police said.
