J&K Bank opens Business Unit, ATM in Channi Rama, Jammu

Srinagar, Jul 24: Expanding its footprint within the state further besides providing state-of-the-art banking facilities, J&K Bank today commissioned a new Business Unit (BU) along with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at National Highway Channi Rama in Jammu.

J&K Bank Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber inaugurated the new BU and the on-site ATM in presence of the bank’s President Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq, Vice Presidents Sudhir Gupta and Shareesh Sharma amid a gathering of valuable customers, businessmen, local residents of the area besides other senior officers of the bank.

Speaking on the occasion, the CMD said, “It has always been our endeavor to render hassle-free services to the customers by offering them tailor-made products right near their doorsteps as the Bank remains committed to serve and empower people of the state and work towards their socio-economic upliftment. Taking this opportunity, I request them to avail the benefits of our schemes and products.”

Enunciating on the bank’s focus on providing inclusive banking facilities at every nook and corner of the state, CMD, R K Chhibber further said, “J&K Bank is increasing its coverage of unbanked areas every year through all possible channels, even going beyond the brick and mortar model.  The bank will continue to grow in all areas giving enhanced banking access and convenience to each and every customer. The new BU will help further accelerate the bank’s business development initiatives within the catchment area of Channi Rama and in its adjoining localities. Bringing ease in day to day banking functions, the BU will provide products and services at par with the best in contemporary banking industry”.

After the inaugural ceremony, the CMD held an interactive session with the customers and the local businessmen inside the premises of the new BU where in the customers appreciated the bank’s efforts and admired the spacious and attractive ambience of the BU while putting forth valuable suggestions.

The CMD also exhorted the Business Unit Head to provide best-in-class services to customers and work towards meeting the expectations of the people of the area. He also impressed upon the staff to add more value to their customer interactions so as to make their experiences with the bank memorable.

Meanwhile, with the commissioning of this Business Unit, the total network of J&K Bank branches has reached 940.
