Baramulla: A seven year old boy drowned in river Jehlum at Sultanpora Pattan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.
An eye witness said that some boys were taking bath and one among them identified as Faizan Ahmad Marazi son of Mohammad Yousuf Marazi of Sultanpora Pattan drowned in the river at Sultanpora bund .
After the incident locals rushed towards the spot and retrieved the body from river and rushed him to nearby SDH Sumbal for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
A doctor at SDH Sumbal also confirmed the death of the minor.
