Srinagar, Jul 11: An elderly man was injured on Thursday after he was hit by a speeding vehicle on Srinagar-Baramulla highway near Lawaypora area of Srinagar.
Reports said that a speeding vehicle hit one Mohammad Ramzan, who was trying to cross the road near Lawaypora on Srinagar-Baramulla road, resulting in injuries to him.
Soon after the accident, the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot while as locals rushed the injured person to a nearby hospital where he is being treated now.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident.
