Daylong drug de-addiction programme held in Sopore

Sopore, July 11: In an initiative to eradicate drug menace from the society, a daylong drug de-addiction programme was held at Arqum Institute of Education School Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness among the students about the menace of drug addiction.

Starting the session, principal of the institute Miss Tahira spoke about the drug addiction and the treatment facilities. She urged upon the participants to work against the menace of drug addiction.

She advised the students to abstain from drugs, smoking and other such things.

Later, a drug rally was held with a massage “Drug de-addiction is a serious problem which is required to be addressed and it is moral duty of one and all to contribute in its eradication”.
