DC Ganderbal reviews FCS&CA functioning in dist

GANDERBAL, JULY 08: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting with the officials of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) to review the functioning of the department including Aadhar seeding, Point of Sale (PoS) transactions, stock position and marketing checking in the district.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, CPO, Anika Mushtaq, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Mir Ali Mohammad, Tehsil Supply Offices (TSO).

Assistant Director FCS&CA briefed the meeting about the status of the Aadhar seeding, PoS Transactions and stock position in the district.

The meeting was informed that out of 68,202 ration cards, 82 per cent ration cards are Aadhar seeded, besides 100% ration cards are digitized in the district.

The meeting was informed that 103 PoS machines are functional in the district. While reviewing the status of Aadhar seedling, the DC directed the TSOs to start massive awareness camp in their respect tehsils and blocks to achieve 100% Aadhar seedling of ration cards in the district.

Later, DC also reviewed the stock position of essential commodities like rice, atta, sugar, kerosene and LPG in the district including at Baltal base camp. The Assistant Director FCS & CA informed that sufficient stock of all essential commodities is available in the district to cater the needs during ongoing Yatra.
