Dir Tribal Affairs tours Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JULY 05:  Director Tribal Affairs, Mushtaq Ahamd today visited various area of Anantnag to take stock of various facilities provided to the tribal population by the department.

During the tour, the Director visited various areas of the district including Phalgam and Betaab Valley forests and interacted with tribal population.

The Director also visited Gujjar and Bakarwal Boys Hostel at Anantnag and inspected various facilities being provided to the students including catering¸ study material and guidance and accommodation facilities.

He also inspected Ekalvya Model Residential School at Salia Anantnag and interacted with the students residing in the school.

During the tour the director interacted with tribal people at various places including Anantnag, Phalgam and Betaab Valley and gave patient hearing to the issues and grievances raised by the people.

The Director assured them that all genuine issues will be redressed at earliest.

During the tour, the officers of the department disseminated information regarding various state and centrally sponsored schemes being implemented for the welfare of the people.

The Director said that department will now accept student scholarship applications online and urged people to take active part to avail these schemes so lower and underprivileged sections of the society are benefited.

The director was accompanied by Assistant Director Tribal Affairs Masood Akhtar besides various other officers.
