Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former minister Naeem Akhtar has condoled the demise of Munshi Ghulam Hassan- former chairman of JK Bank and a senior Officer of Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

Akhtar in his condolence message highlighted the services rendered by Munshi Ghulam Hassan for state’s welfare. “He was a man of proven integrity.  His family has been in the forefront of the movements for Kashmir’s political and social emancipation,” said Akhtar.

The PDP leader also condoled the demise of Choudhary Wazir Hussain, an able officer who served the state’s tourism department and died after a prolonged aliment. “I have had the privilege to work with him in different capacities. He was a friend and associate who will be badly missed by his family and acquaintances,” said Akhtar while praying for both departed souls and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
