Pulwama, July 02: Sports Stadium in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town lacks infrastructure and basic facilities.
According to the athletes of Pulwama district, the sports stadium in Pulwama town lacks sitting arrangement, toilets and proper floodlights.
“The only stadium in the town used for all formats of sports can accommodate hardly hundred people,” said a local athlete.
“Athletes who play cricket matches, football matches and other games at the stadium have no option but to change their clothes in the open as there is no changing room there,” he added.
Another young athlete said that the stadium has no washrooms. “The recently installed floodlights are failing to serve its purpose.”
When contacted Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Syed Abid Shah, said: “The issue will be addressed soon.”
