Baramulla, Jul 01: Police on Monday said it has cracked Gondola burglary case and arrested all five persons involved in the theft.

Sources said that five persons including one employee of Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation JKCCC (Gondola) have been arrested in connection with theft case of Rs 51 lakh.

Senior police officials while confirming the development said stolen money has been recovered from their possession.

It is pertinent to mention that on the intervening night of June 23 and 24, burglars struck at cash counter cum account room at Gulmarg Gondola and looted cash of Rs 51 lakh by breaking into the fire-cum-bullet-proof cash chest. Police had registered a case (FIR no. 05 of 2019) under section 457, 380 RPC in Police Station Gulmarg following the burglary incident.
