Srinagar, July 1: Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious life and prayed for early recuperation of those injured in a tragic accident in Keshwan area of Kishtwar district.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for peace to the departed souls and strength to the grief stricken families to bear the loss. I also pray for the the swift recovery of those injured.”, he said in his condolence message.

He also appealed the governor administration to provide best of medical treatment to the injured

Expressing concern over the frequency of road accidents in J&K, Sajad urged the governor administration to employ necessary measures at the earliest to ensure road safety and stop the loss of innocent lives.

“Despite alarming frequency of road accidents causing death in our state, no concrete measures have been adopted to tackle the issue. J&K tops the list of “high accidental death-prone areas” in the entire country. The administration must do a vulnerability assessment of the roads especially on tricky and winding mountainous roads and take corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence of such tragic accidents”, he added.
