PCC Pattan thrash PCC Panjipora by 10 wickets

Sopore, June 30: In the ongoing Wular Premier Legaue (WPL), today’s first match was played between Panjipora Cricket Club and PCC Pattan at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore.

Bating first, Panjipora got off to a bad start and the wickets fell like a pack of cards and they were dismissed on a low score of 57 runs. Only one batsman crossed into the double figure.

For PCC Pattan, Salman Jahangeer took 4-fer. Ajaz also took 2 wickets. In reply, PCC Pattan completed the run chase without losing any wicket. Saleem Jehangir was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance.

In second fixture of WPL, RCC Chatabal beat host PCC Tarzoo by 4 wickets. Bating first, PCC Tarzoo posted 133 runs for the loss of 7 Wickets. Pervaiz Reshi was the top scorer with 36 runs. Fayaz and Aasif contributed with 15 each.

For RCC, Aasif Bakshi and Aijaz took 3 wickets each.

In reply, RCC Chatabal achieved the remaining target by losing 6 wickets. Ajaz Was the highest scorer with 48 runs and Aasif Bakshi scored 42 valuable runs at the end.

Aijaz was declared man of the match for his all round performance of 3 wickets and 48 runs.

This tournament is playing under the banner of sports association Tarzoo.
