Jammu, July 1: Four more injured persons have succumbed to their wounds, taking death toll to 35 in accident involving overturning of a minibus they were travelling in Kishtwar district of Jammu on Monday morning.

Official sources told GNS that the minibus (JK17-6787) on way to Kishtwar from Keshwan overturned near Sirgwari and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in on the spot death of the 28 people and injuries to 21 persons who were shifted to hospital by people and police teams which were rushed to evacuate the injured soon after getting information about the accident.

Three other people succumbed to injuries before being admitted to the hospital while four more persons died at hospital.

CMO Abdul Majeed Malik confirmed the death of the 35 persons in the accident and injuries to 17 others. Among, the nine injured persons have been airlifted to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment, he added.(GNS)
