EC Health takes stock of healthcare facilities at Dist Hospital Kargil

KARGIL, JUNE 29: Executive Councillor (EC) for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan today visited District Hospital Kargil and took stock of healthcare facilities available to patients in the health institution.

Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Ibrahim Khan, Medical Superintendent (MS) Kargil Dr Sikander Ali Khan, besides other concerned officers accompanied the EC during the visit.

The EC went around various wards and sections of the hospital including the Out Patient Department (OPD), Emergency, Trauma Section, Wards, Casualty Block, X-Ray Section, Dental Section and other sections there.

Chandan also interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the status of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients undergoing treatment at the hospital. He asked the doctors and paramedical staff on duty to ensure that best possible medical attention is provided to the patients so that they do not face any inconvenience.

The EC also discussed various other important issues related to the development of the hospital and up-gradation of the existing health facilities with the hospital management.

Chandan said that LAHDC Kargil is fully committed to ensure that patients get quality healthcare facilities in all the health institutions in the district including the District Hospital.

While responding to the issues and demands raised by the doctors the EC assured that these issues would be given due consideration and necessary steps would be taken accordingly.

Meanwhile, the EC issued on spot directions to the CMO and MS to resolve the minor issues related to the hospital in a time-bound manner.

He also instructed the CMO Kargil to fix priorities to meet the demands of the hospital in a phased manner.

The EC asked the doctors and paramedical staff to discharge their allotted duties with utmost dedication and commitment in providing the best possible healthcare facilities to the public.
