WPL: Ashiq Hussain shines as Ningli Sports win by 5 wickets

June 28: In the ongoing Wular Premier League (WPL), first match of the day was played between Syndicate Sports Sopore and Jehlum Sports Ningli today here at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore.

Bating first, Syndicate scored 98 runs only. Mudasir made 32 runs. For Jehlum Sports, Young Danish took 3 wickets and Aasif took 2 wickets.

In reply, Jehlum Sports Ningli achieved the target in 17 overs for the loss of five wickets. Ashiq Hussain played the sensible knock of 52 runs.

For Syndicate Sports, Khursheed and Nisar took brace. Ashiq Hussain was declared man of the match.

Second match of the day was played between RCC Vadi Kashmir and WSA Wagub.

Bating first, RCC made 129 runs. Arshad was the top scorer with 35 runs and Azhar contributed 26 runs. For WSA Wagub, Sakib took 4-fer and Arshad bagged two wickets.

In reply Wagub Sports batsmen exhibited a dismal performance as the team was bundled out on 80 runs. Adnan made 29 runs.

For RCC Vadi, Mehran took 8 wickets including a hat-trick and also scalped 5 wickets of 5 balls. He was declared man of the match for his brilliant and memorable bowling Spell.

This tournament is playing under the banner of Sports Association Tarzoo
