JAMMU, JUNE 24: To monitor the Infrastructure Development works under National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Scheme, Director Agriculture, Jammu, P. S. Rathore conducted a visit of Potato Development Farm, NathaTop, today along with Agronomist (Vegetable), Jammu, S. A. S. Reen.

The Director was apprised in detail about infrastructural works undertaken including construction of Farm Manager Office cum residence, Inspection Hut, Mali Huts and renovation of already existing structures.

The Director asked the concerned authorities to expedite the works for timely completion so that the farm could be made functional soon.  This will not only facilitate timely field activities in the farm but will boost the production of potato.

The Director examined the Demonstrations on off season Pulses like Lentil, Gram, Peas etc laid out in collaboration with SKUAST-Jammu.

Those who were present on the occasion included Senior Scientist, SKUAST-Jammu, Dr. B. M. Singh, Assistant Executive Engineer, Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department, Pankaj Bhardwaj, Potato seed inspector, Jammu, S. N. P. Singh and other officers and field functionaries of Agriculture Department.
