CAPEX Budget 2019-20: 140 languishing projects, 60 under NABARD

JAMMU, JUNE 24: A review meeting regarding CAPEX Budget 2019-20, Bridge Programme, NABARD, CRF, languishing Projects, World Bank Works, Macadamization Plan and Construction of Bunkers in Border Areas was held today under the chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary PW(R&B) Khurshid Ahmad Shah.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer PW(R&B) Department Jammu, Nasir Goni, senior officers including Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers of PWD Jammu Division.

During the meeting, various issues regarding non-availability of funds in various ongoing schemes, forest clearance of some projects were put forth for discussion.

While reviewing the schemes, the Commissioner Secretary issued instructions to the concerned to complete the languishing projects as per the timeline fixed.

It was informed in the meeting that 60 projects under NABARD and 140 projects under languishing projects besides 28 projects under CRF are expected to be completed by this year.

The Commissioner Secretary asked for expediting work on Bunkers so that these could be completed by August, 2019 as per the given timeline.

Earlier, Commissioner Secretary reviewed physical and financial achievements under PMGSY.
