Pulwama, Jun 24: Three youth were injured in clashes with the police and paramilitary forces on Monday in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town.

Reports said that youth took to streets and hurled stones on the forces in Pulwama town.

The forces, they said, responded by firing tear gas and pellets.

Sources said that four injured were brought to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment.

Hospital sources also confirmed that four youth hit by pellets were brought for treatment. “One youth was referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for further treatment,” they said.

The injured were identified as Asif Ahmad, resident of Chaatpora Pulwama; Adil  Ahmad, resident of Arihal Pulwama, and Tanveer Ahmad, a resident of Rajouri.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was being observed in Pulwama town against the killing of four local militants.

Authorities had also suspended class-work in Government Degree College Boys Pulwama as a precautionary measure.

On early Sunday morning, four militants affiliated with AGH outfit were killed in Daramdora village of Shopain district. The slain militants were identified as Showket Ahmad and Azad Molvi, residents of Pulwama; Rafi Hassan Mir and Suhail Yousuf Bhat, residents of Shopain district.
