Sopore, June 23: Youth Forum Tarzoo on Sunday conducted the first-ever election for electing its President and Vice President.
Three contestants were in fray. Ishfaq Ahmad Dar who secured highest votes was accordingly elected President of Youth Forum Tarzoo, while as Tajamul Islam was elected as vice President.
Youth Forum Tarzoo is an apolitical organization aimed at serving the interest of the villagers and finding solutions to the problems.
The oath ceremony took place immediately after the declaration of the election results and in the meanwhile, President and Vice President thanked the voters and pledged to serve the Forum with dedication and determination.
