Srinagar, Jun 23: At least seven passengers including the driver were injured after a minus-bus met with an accident at Nilgrath area of Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.

An official said that seven passengers were injured after a Tempo vehicle (JK06-4805) on way from Srinagar to Kargil, collided with a truck (JK02S-4175) near Nilgrath Sonamarg on Srinagar-Leh highway. The accident resulted in injuries to seven passengers, including the driver of the Tempo.

The injured passengers were taken to PHC Sonamarg for treatment wherefrom the bus driver-with grave injuries was referred to Sub District hospital Kangan for further treatment.

The injured passengers have been identified as Balwinder Singh (30), son of Satpal Singh, resident of Airport Jammu; Mohammad Yusuf (35), son of Hameed Shah; Krishan Lal (55), son of Jaram Lal; Narayan Singh (50), son of Reshpal Singh; Muzamil Ahmad Malik (25), son of Ghulam Hassan Malik; Nawaz Ahmad Malik (28), son of Abdul Gani Malik, and Himmat Singh (34), son of Udam Singh. All the injured persons were residents of Doda district.
