Traditional Karate camp concludes in Sonmarg

Ganderbal, June 17: Three-day season 3 Traditional Karate camp today concluded at picturesque tourist resort Sonamarg here.

Emphasize of the camp was on women self defense in view of rising crimes against women.

Traditional Karata was theme of the camp. On the occasion, the trainers stressed upon the revival of Traditional Karate.

Total of 80 players, both girls and boys, participated in the camp.

Renowned Sensei Umesh Rakhi was chief trainer of the camp and Sensei Mujahid Yaqoob was technical director of the camp.

Umash Rakhi imparted updated karate techniques to the participants throughout the camp.

Early a special session for girls was conduct bySensei Mujahid Yaqoob on eve teasing and self defense.

Nazima Bashir, a participant said, “This camp was a life time experience for me. I got to learn lot of techniques especially self-defense techniques which will help me in long run.”

The camp was organised by National Dojo Academy in collaboration with DHAMIKA KAI J&K Karate association.
