Jehangir Lone’s all round performance help Kashmir Gymkhana win over BSS

Sopore, June 16: Today Kashmir Gymkhana defeated Blue Star Sonawari by 60 runs here at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo.

After winning the toss, Kashmir Gymkhana put a mammoth total of 182 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Jehangir Lone was the top scorer with 67 runs. Adil Reshi scored 43 runs and Aamir Sofi made 23 runs. For Blue star Afaq and Arif took 2 wickets each.

In reply, Blue Star Sonawari was bundled out on 122 runs. After a good start, they lost the wickets in heap. Suhail Mir made 28 runs.

The pace battery of Mehjoor sofi, Shahrukh dar, Hartik Singh, Suhail Andleeb dominated the match with some descent bowling. Mehjoor and Suhail Andleeb took 2 Wickets each.

Jehangir Lone was declared man of the match for his brilliant bating performance .T

This tournament is organised by Sports Association Tarzoo and the grand finale is expected to be played next month.

Second match of the day was played between Kashmir Gymkhana and UCC Anantnag. Bating first, UCC was bundled out on a very low score of 66 runs. Saqib reached into the double figure. For Kashmir Gymkhana, Mehjoor Ali took 5-feral and Adil Reshi bagged 2 wickets.

In reply, Kashmir Gymkhana achieved the target of 67 runs without losing any wicket. Aadil Reshi 59 and Waseem Kachru made 7 runs. Mehjoor Ali was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling spell of 5 wickets.
