DC Rajouri convenes meeting

RAJOURI, JUNE 14: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today convened a meeting with the officers of Agriculture, Horticulture and Revenue departments to iron out the issues affecting proper functioning of Vegetable and Fruit Market at village Phalyana.

The meeting was informed that the Mandi has been established with an expenditure of Rs. 3.27 crore spreading over a land of 30 kanal and 19 marla with provision of  shops, auction phars, two administrative blocks, toilet block, chain link fencing, road and parking area, drainage system. It was further informed that most of the allotees have constructed their shops in the mandi.

DC asked the Assistant Grading and Marketing Officer to issue notices to the remaining allottees to construct their shops in a minimum possible time and start the business activities at the earliest. He clarified that any failure in this regard would amount to cancellation of the allotment.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf, Chief Horticulture Officer, Rakesh Kotwal, Chief Agriculture Officer MY Choudhary, AGMO and President Beopar Mandal Association Rajouri.
