Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Showkat Jan , a prominent social activist of the state.
According to the party spokesman, a high level delegation of the PDP leaders led by MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam visited the residence of the deceased at Magarmal Bagh, Srinagar and commiserated with the bereaved family. Alam also highlighted works late Jan has done for downtrodden and poverty stricken people of the society.
The delegation comprising of former MLC Batamaloo Noor Mohammad Sheikh, , Dr Ali Mohammad senior PDP leader and foment VC Handicrafts, Haji Parvez Former VC STRC, Abdul Hameed Kohseen Senior PDP leader, Abdul Qayoom Bhat senior PDP leader, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Bhat Corporator SMC, Aijaz Rather District Secretary PDP, Arif Laigroo Secretary Youth PDP and several others.
