DDC Ganderbal reviews Baba Nagri Urs arrangements

GANDERBAL, JUNE 4:– District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the celebration of ensuing Urs of Hazrat Baba Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanvi (RA).

The Urs is celebrated annually at Wangat, Kangan.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, DySP Traffic, Executive Engineers of R&B, PMGSY and PDD, CMO Ganderbal, Food Safety Officer, Kangan besides other concerned officers.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held with respect to the availability of essentials so that the devotees arriving in large numbers may not face any inconvenience.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, better healthcare facilities, cleanliness, adequate transport facility for devotees, and other facilities for the Urs celebrations.

The DDC directed all the concerned officers to complete the necessary arrangements before the start of Urs so that the devotees do not face any difficulty.

Moreover, the DDC directed Health Department to facilitate the devotees with the first aid facility at the venue.

Keeping in view a huge gathering of devotees expected to attend the Urs, DDC directed ARTO Ganderbal to make available sufficient transport and maintain close liaison with Traffic and Police department to regulate traffic in and around the town properly so that devotees don’t face any inconvenience.
