Director Tourism attends 5th Edition of Mail Today Conclave on Tourism Promotion

JAMMU, JUNE 01: The 3-day Jammu & Kashmir Festival Cum Exhibition   sponsored by J&K Tourism Department and supported by KECSS, Delhi and organized by RMK Arts & Research Foundation at New Delhi for promotion of Tourism in the State concluded here yesterday.

Director Tourism, Jammu, O.P. Bhagat, was the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony while President KECSS, Dr. Rajinder Tickoo, was the guest of honour.

Director Tourism, Jammu appreciated the presentation of variety of cultural programmes and exhibition of different stalls of handicrafts and cuisines of all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in the event.

During the three days of the festival, different traditional and folk  dances and songs  of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh choreographed by Akash Dogra and performed by Natya Roots artists were presented besides Video song “Sanjha Jammu” by Sunali Dogra and documentary on tourist destinations of all the three regions was also screened.

The main highlight of the event was devotional research oriented historical Light and Sound Show “Mata ki Kahani Mata Raginya Mahatmay” which received great applause from the audience. The Festival represented the composite culture, diversity and heritage of Jammu & Kashmir state with the message of unity in diversity.

Director Tourism and Director SKICC, Srinagar also participated in the panel discussion on promotion of tourism in J&K organized by Mail Today on its 5th Edition of Tourism Summit at New Delhi.
