Speakers at JKYF seminar urge people to initiate steps for the needy

Srinagar, May 22: The speakers at a seminar on  “Social Service—Our Role & Responsibilities” organized by J&K Yateem Foundation at BAITUL HILAL, Chawalgam Kulgam, urged  people to undertake responsibility for initiating and sustaining initiatives and steps for the welfare and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and destitute for establishing a safe and secure society.

They said it was obligatory on all affluent and resourceful people to play their role in this regard only to earn the pleasure and blessings of Almighty Allah.

Speaking on the occasion District Officer Child Protection Committee under ICPS, Bashir Ahmad Khan urged people to help poor and needy in every possible way for making a safe society away from crimes.

Vice Principal Polytechnic College Kulgam Mohammad Assadullah stressed the need to connect constructively and positively with the weaker and marginalised sections of the society to help them achieve socio economic development.

Chairman J&K Yateem Foundation Mohammed Ahsan Rather in his address urged people to help the poor and the needy with the spirit and guidance as enshrined in the teachings of Islam.

Senior volunteer and Incharge Al Hilal Educational Institute, Kulgam Abdul Majeed Laway in his welcome address spoke about JKYF activities in Kulgam district and various reformative measures taken at the Educational Institute.

JKYF documentary film “Together with Orphans, Widows and Destitute” was also screened on the occasion.

Earlier, at the start of the seminar Baitul Hilal Kulgam Warden Hafiz Nazir Ahmad recited verses from Holy Qur’an while Al Hilal teacher Showkat Ahmad presented Na’at.

The seminar was attended by scores of volunteers and local people.
